This past Saturday, December 13, 2008, I was surfing the net and decided to google “coincidences”. I was on the computer for quite a while as I find this subject very interesting. While surfing, I found “9/11” coincidences so I checked it out. Again, I found the various number combinations of 9/11 somewhat interesting and then did the trick where you type in the capitals “Q33 NY” in a MS Word document and then enlarge to 26 and change the font to wingdings. (I won’t ruin it for you if you have not tried it). In any event,
I did this for a while and eventually got off the computer and did not think about it again.
Sunday came and went and today a few hours after I got to work I went down the hall to chat with a women I work with about her weekend etc. The conversation eventually turned to politics and that reminded the women of something her boyfriend had sceene on the internet this past Saturday. She proceeded to tell me that for no real reason at all on Saturday her boyfriend googled “Coincidences” on the computer and eventually looked up “9/11” Coincidences. I could not beleive it and I stopped her and said the word “wingding” she said oh you know about the 9/11 coincidinces? And, I said yes, because I looked them up for the first time this past Saturday!

I live about 40 minutes from Lake Berryessa in California. My husband and I go now and then with our boat (He fishes, I read). A few summers ago we went with our boat and while he got the boat ready, I went in and paid for the launching fee. As I walked up to the woman at the counter, before I could say anything, she looked me really confused and frustrated and said, “I told you that we don’t sell tents here!”. I looked at her and said that I did not need a tent and needed to pay the launch fee for our boat for the day. She got a little mad and asked why I had not told her we had a boat when I had come in a few minutes earlier and why I had needed camping equipment then if I was just there for the day. I told her that I hadn’t been in earlier and that we had just pulled into the parking lot. She basically was arguing with me that I had just been there, when of course I had not been. She looked me over like I was crazy and said “Whatever”. I paid for the fee and left feeling REALLY confused. I was even wearing a pink Raiders shirt and hair in a pony tail with a yellow jacket – not an outfit that is like white t-shirt and jeans and might be the same thing someone just there had been wearing. A few months earlier my whole family had gone camping at another part of Lake Berryessa. My grandparents, my husband and I were sitting on the edge of the water fishing when a boat came by. The man on the boat yelled to us asking if we were doing any good fishing. My grandpa responded that we were doing well and catching big fish. The man then said, “Well I believe you because I know Gene Robinson is a good man and wouldn’t lie. Have a good day.” We all looked at each other with jaws dropped – my grandpa’s name is Gene Robinson! My grandparents only camp there once a year at most on Thanksgiving so they are not well known people there. I yelled to the guy on the boat aking him how he knew his name and he yelled back really calmly and matter-of-factly, “Because I have ESP dear.” We have never figured either of these events out. Everytime we go to Berryessa something a little weird happens. It used to freak me out a little, but now I kind of expect it.

I was tinkering around with some of settings on my PC and I started singing a song. Strangely enough, the same song went on the radio at the exact same moment.

I had a lengthy conversation with a coworker one day after work about carbon monoxide detectors and how important they are. Same day, 2 hours later I was at home and my CO detector started screaming. I had 3 times the lethal level of CO in my house.

Ok I was working at Bank of America a in a call center in 2000. So one day a guy calls and said he liked my voice and normally I dont go for that because you never know. It was weird. So we talked about his account and all that and he gives me his number and I write it down, I decided to call. Thats so random and not like me at all. Turns out he lives about 30 miles from me. So we agree to meet and we ended up dating for like 3 years. Come to find out he played basketball with my ex-boyfriend from high school at an elementary school about 50 miles from where we lived and they knew each other and both had interesting things to say about each other. Then in 2007 I met this guy at my school and we get to talking and turn out he is best friends with my boyfriends best friends little brother and they lived accross the street from each other. It was just a coincidence altogether. I was at that house before too. Weird.

One year I participtaed in a regional science fair. My mom then told me that they had listed my age wrong in the pamphlet, as well as what my project was. Confused, I went to my designated spot, and already found a project there, by that title. The girl had the same name as me, middle name and all… and lived in my town and went to my school. weird??? wanting to know more about her after the fact, I looked at her myspace, only to find that her boyfriend had the same name as mine, she had the same favorite shows, movies, color, and had been born in the same hospital as me. Small world.

Both me and my brother worked for the same railroad. He was an engineer and I was a conductor at the time. One day we were both working but on different trains. It was the first day that the railroad issued cell phones to the engineers. The engineer I was working with asked me who I thought would be the first one to lose their phone. I said without a doubt my brother would. I few miles further down the track we had to stop and set out some cars. Mind you this is approx 120 miles from where we both started our trip and only my train was to stop there. I set out the cars and engine, and as I looked down in the snow there was a cell phone. My engineer was there also to help with the hoses, we both looked at each other and said “no way”. Sure enough I open up the case and there was a sticker with my brothers name on it.
I called him at the hotel he was staying at with it in Chicago and asked him where his phone was. He said he didn’t know. Turns out his second engine was giving him trouble and it must have fallen out of his pocket when he walked back to check it out.
I don’t know what the odds are of finding your brothers cell phone 120 miles from where he got it, the same day he got it and only minutes after telling someone that he would lose it. The odds of stopping on top of it and looking down in about a 3 foot section of rail and finding it.

My Mother in law and father in law have both passed away from the same type of cancer (pancreatic). Mother in law died in March and father in law died two years later, in the same month just two days apart. At the funeral our family was given peace lillies, one for mom and one for dad’s funeral. The lillies only bloom on days directly related to my in laws (birthdays, anniversaries, date’s of death). My Sister’s lilly bloomed two flowers on the date of my in laws anniversary and has not bloomed since.
