Browsing a second hand bookshop for technical books, I strayed into the fiction section. I never buy fiction – especially paperbacks.

For an unkown reason I picked out a book – ‘Room at the Top’ I had heard of it but not previously read the book. I bought it for 10p.

Later that day; I was scanning the sky channels for a film to watch, you guessed it ‘Room at the Top’ a black and white film probably shown for the first time in 10 years.

I am convinced that it was not possible for me to have seen the film advertised prior to selecting the book. In fact I often think about a film a few days before it appears on T.V.

In the early 1960s as a little boy I used to visit my Granda’s house with my mum and read copies of DC Thompson’s, ‘Friendship Book’ to pass the time. The book (as it does today) contained a number of submitted photographs. One of these caught my attention, it was of a young girl painting a picture, and I asked my mum who she might be. Many years later I was visiting my girlfriend’s home for the first time , and noticed a copy of the ‘Friendship book’ sitting on a book case. I mentioned that I used to read copies of this at my grandparents, and started to flick through the book. It was then that I noticed a photograph I recognised, it was that of a small girl painting a picture and pointed this out to my future ‘in laws’, imagine my surprise when I was told that the photo was that of my future wife which they had submiited to DC Thompson in the early 1960s, bizarre indeed !!

I was just online playing a celebrity trivia game when my friend called. I put the game on hold and we began talking about celebrities and different ways nepotism plays a part in their careers among other things. He focused on Francis Ford Coppola and which celebrities are related to him. JUST OUT OF THE BLUE, because my friend said he thought several were related and I agreed, but we could only think of Nicholas Cage, and weren’t 100% sure about that. After talking more and ending our call, I came back to my game online, clicked on “next question”.......waited…... AND

New Question WAS: “Which of these celebrities are NOT related to Francis Ford Coppola?” !!! TOO WEIRD!!

This is my first time submitting a coincidence, but I had found the site years earlier. I noticed that there were a few people who would have coincidences involving digital-display clocks.

Well…. First I have to say that my mothers father (my grandfather, of-course) passed away 2/13/1996. My father passed away two years later on 2/13/1998. A few years ago I began noticing 2:13 on digital locks – all the time. It even happened just a few minutes ago!

Does anybody have any advice?

I was sitting on the couch reding a novel and my husband went outside. He shut the door behind him not realizing it was locked. I heard a knock and looked up to see him peering in through the window. I asked my son to let him in and started reading again. My son open the door and my husband said “I felt like a deer caught in the headlights” – just as I read the words ‘like a deer caught in the headlights’ in my novel. I made them both come over to see that I had just read what my husband had said.

I was working in a store and it wasn’t busy so I went to the back office to do some paper work. I was tidying up my desk and came across an old receipt that had been signed by an employee who hadn’t worked there for a few years. I wondered how he was and what he was up to. Then I came across a little knick knack that a friend had given me when I moved. I wondered how she was doing as well.

Just then the phone rang. I answered it and it was the girl who had given me the knick knack. I was thrilled to hear from her. I was just about to ask her what she had been up to when I heard the bells on the door. I asked her if she would mind holding as a customer was coming in and I was working alone. I went out into the store to help the customer and it was the employee who I had just thought of!

I didn’t explain this very well, but it all happened within seconds! It was quite amazing.

OK….Todays date is 12/16/06.

This one’s a must read…..

I dont know if anyone reading this now read already read yesterday I made a submission to this archive about seeing the time 7:34 or 11:34 almost everytime I look at the clock! I also metioned that it hasnt happened in a very long time because it was linked to a relationship I was in several years ago.
Let me explain.. I had gotten into a relationship with someone who at the time seemed fine. After a couple of months I started to have doubts about the relationship (more about the that other person….thats another long story) so I broke it off. (thats another story)
But anyway… one thing lead to another and about a week later we got back together.
Thats when I started to see the time 7:34 and 11:34 almost all the time.
And mind you it was after I learned that both 7:34 and 11:34, upside down, spell the word hEL (or hE11)
As I explained yesterday I took this as a sign that it was a mistake to get back into this relationship.

I mentioned yesterday that I remembered it happening practically EVERY DAY, but Today I cleary remebered (and youll understand why later) that this happened EVERY SINGLE DAY. 2 of 3 times in the same say even. It was a GIVEN if you understand! So often that seeing this time, all the time, just became a normal part of my life and was nolonger “wierd”. There were times, even, when I KNEW that time was coming. I would make a concious effort NOT to look, but couldnt resist and still looked. But even and times when that consious desicion not to look would SLIP my mind I would STILL look at the clock EXACTLY at that time. It was like the universe saying “You are STILL going to see, EVEN after your conscious decision NOT to, because it is simply beyond your control”.

Well.. let me get back to the reason I am writting today.
This happend for the whole duration of our relatioship which lasted 5 years
Let me quickly mention that It was at the time a great relatiohship. my first real relationship. It was alway, Me, My Boyfriend, My best friend and his girlfriend. We doubledated ALL THE TIME. We were like Family. i am a gay male and he was older told me he was 41 when initially he told me he was 28.) The age difference didnt bother me only the lie which I evenually got over.
Anyway… we were all very close!!!!
Well, It was not until about a several days after we broke up when I happened to look at the clock at 11:34 when I realized it hadnt happened noticed that it had stopped! It just STOPPED. 7:34 and 11:34 were nolonger a part of my life. Once more, the Univerese saying “It WAS linked to the relationship”.
Was it? or was it just a coincidence??
That was yesterday when I originally posted this. (a bit more detailed today)

Well time has passed since we broke up….6 years to be exact.

Well Coincidentally, Earlier this evening my old friend called my out of the blue and invited me out to dinner with his, now, wife. Both of whom I dont get to see very often because of the way our lives have gone but are still close.
During dinner we were reminicing about the way things were back then when the 4 of us were together. That brought back memories.

Anyway….arriving home after dinner, I turned on my PC. Being a HUGE fan of Point and click games, I logged onto one of my favorite sites (Nordinho.net) where I found a newly posted game “Escape for 10 Seconds 2”, which, FYI, is an escape the room type of game where you are locked in a room and must find objects in which you must use to help you escape. Thats not important..
Well, anyway, in this game there was a bed and under the pillow there was a cell phone and the ONLY thing displayed on that cell phone in big writting was the time 11:34…........

Marg Locking, age 82 submited a coincidence back in 2004 saying that almost every time she looks at the clock it displays 2:22 or 11:11. She was wondering if this happens to anyone else.

Several years ago, when I looked at a clock its almost always said 7:34 or 11:34. I was in a relationship with someone and after several months into the relationship I started to questions the other persons intentions. Thats another F’ed up story.
So anyway… I confronted them with my doubt, we got into a fight and broke up… About a week later someway or another we got back together.
THAT is when I started noticing 7:34 and 11:34.
NOW….7:34 and 11:34 both spell hELL(or hEL) when read upside down.
Now this would happen virtually EVERYDAY!!! Id say about 6 or of 7 days. and most of the time 2 or 3 times in the day.
I took that as a sign that it was a mistake to get back together.
The clock thing carried on for as long was we were together which was 5 years. We both needed out of the relationship.
It wasnt until a week or more later when I looked at the clock and it registered 7:34 and realized JUST then that it had been a long time since I had seen it. Guess it WAS linked to the relationship!

My 1st period math teacher is the luckiest person that I have ever met. She always wins contests and such, but I want to tell you those stories specifically. I swear that this is all true.
Mrs. D. tells us about her bazare experiences first hand in great detail. One day, we were talking about halloween when she told us that at her teacher parties, she always wins best pumpkin and best dressed. In fact, she won them both three years in a row! Also, her second period class, (the period that picture money is due, contests happen, ect.) her class won the only school wide fundraser yet. Then, this is the abselute strangest part, she told us one day that she went to a classy party over the weekend. She said that there was a big glass ball filled with marbles at each table. She made a random guess. She was only off by three marbles. During the same party, there was a raffle, and you guessed it, her number was called. Right afterwards, some people next to her were talking about how lucky she was. One of the men next to her asked hr to “Please touch my ticket”. She reluctantly agreed. Then, the person next to that guy said that he wanted his ticket touched also. So, just like the first one, she said yes. No joke, right after, they were called up for the raffle, in the same order that she touched there tickets! Also, her picture was featured in every issue of the school newspaper.
I’m tell’n ya, this is honest to God truth.
THANK YOU!!
