One summer when I was 15 and on vacation in MA with my dad’s family, everytime I would look at a clock the time would me 1:23 or 12:34. That whole summer I wondered why and what it could mean. When summer vacay was over, I went back home (Delaware). A few months after starting school, my mom decided to move us out of our apartment and back with my grandmother while my mom looked for a new house to buy. While we were house shopping, the realtor showed us a house and the house number was 1234. We loved the house, but her boyfriend didnt, so we didnt buy that house. However, the house we ended up moving into, my mom closed the deal on January 23 (123). =)

My oldest son wrote an email to me on 9.25.2009 to never contact him again. Exactly 2 years later, there was a drawing at a local Indian Casino where my name was drawn for the big prize of seventy-five thousand dollars. Hmmm…maybe this date is good for me after all!

In the mid 90’s, I was on a puzzle email list. People would post interesting puzzles. I interacted with one frequent contributor who resided in another country, as he was a professor at a university I was considering attending.
In the end, I went to a different university and country, and some years later I left that mailing list.
Then in 2007 I started solving puzzles on a web site (Project Euler). The site ranked users based on how many puzzles each had solved. Near the top of the list there was a user whose userid was that professor’s last name, and whose location was that country.
It’s not too rare a name, but given the nature of the web site, I had to ask: I contacted that person and asked if he was the same professor I had once conversed with.
He wasn’t. Instead, he was his nephew (I guess brain teasers run in the family). Not only that, he told me that the professor indeed was on the web site under another userid!
That was the extent of the conversation. 3 years later, someone I barely knew told me she knew the right person for me (romantically speaking). She sent me the contact info, and we talked over email. She had the same last name, but it’s not that rare a name.
In our second conversation, she mentioned to me that her father’s side of the family is fairly mathematically oriented.
Sure enough, she turned out to be the sister of the guy I had met on the puzzle site – the niece of the professor!

woke up in the middle of the night from a night mare…dreamed my father in law was slumped over a table laying on something shiny…when i woke i told my husband how ‘real’ the dream felt, that maybe he should call his sister’s place to see if his parents are okay…so there he was, three in the morning, calling to find out that yes indeed his father was well and healthy, so we all went back to bed…....,that morning, about 6:30, for some reason i knew exactly what was going to be said, and as i passed my husband the phone with tears in my eyes…..i said oh my hun im so sorry… so it turned out.his sister called to tell us that my father law had gotten up early to polish the silver for brunch they were having, and had had a heart attack while doing so….all i could say to my husband is i am so sorry!!!

my father left me when i was a baby…..decided later in life to go looking for him…had a few stories from my mom…got pregnant before finding my father…and while trying to come up with a name the name (kyle ) screamed into my head…so this is my son’s name now…anyhow, my father left me when he was thirty two…..i found him when i was thirty two…my father’s name was tom, that is all i knew aside from his last name, after meeting, he asked what my children’s names were..so i named them off….then my father tells me that not only is kyle his middle name, but kyle was also my grandfather’s first name. and that my brother(whom i had never met ) had the middle name kyle also….weird

My new colleague is me!
She looks like me, people think I am her and that she is me.
Funny thing we have the same watch but not a cheap one, it cost a lot of money so really strange that someone else have this watch.
We have all the same interests… but listen..
She is pregnant and I am too :O
I can’t believe it we seems to have the same life story, we have a lot to share and we can both to relate to the same experience.

I worked at an electronic retail megastore. In the store, we had a CD receiver with a 250 disc capacity——all slots were filled and no CD was duplicate of another. A co-worker and I were looking at it, and he decided to spin the CD selector dial and see what it landed on. Before the Cd had loaded, I randomly and inexplicably started to sing the lyrics of a song that just popped into my head——Breathless, by The Coors. Track 1 of the CD that loaded began——it was “Breathless” by The Coors. I have found myself experiencing similar things somewhat frequently. Hard to recreate, though. The more I try, the more difficult. It just has to be completely unexpected, when I’m not concentrating on this “coincidence.”
