I don’t remember how many years this has gone on, and it may seem a bit rediculous, but it is happening with more frequency to the point that I have just accepted it as just part of my everyday life.

Most times when I look at a clock, it is straight up top of the hour. I’m talking about in the car, waking up in the night, or just looking at my cell phone. Always double zero’s. Took a trip with friends, and we all helped with gas. Put in my credit card and let my buddy pump the gas while I hit the restroom. When I came back, he said he was trying to make it an even number, but the pump was way too fast. So he just topped it off and put the pump back. Guess what, $68.00 even. Even numbers always commimg up. This is an everyday occurance.

The other everyday occurance, is that I find myself in the back of all the traffic, no matter how many people are behind me to begin with, I always end up the last one in line. I’ll pass people and get in the middle, but in a few blocks, I am the last one again. I’ve tried many other ways to go home, but it is almost always the same story. Am I alone in this? I see the same cars every day, but they are always surrounded by others. By the way, my plate numbers have 666. Do people notice that and back off? I’m not a religious person, but I wondered about that.

Some other coincidences that happen with frequency are just listening to the radio and the DJ will start talking about some subject, and I’ll pass a road sign that says just what the DJ was talking about. It has happened in the middle of the desert and in the middle of town more often than I can recall. I’ve just come to accept it. When I tell friends about it they just give me a funny look.

These are just some of the coincidences that I can recall. I remember that there were others throughout my life, but I didn’t start thinking about them till about 10 years ago. I’m starting to feel as if there is something or someone trying to tell me something and all I have to do is figure out what it is. Sounds nuts.

Yes, I have a good job that I’ve had for some time, and make a decent living. I’ve just started to pay more attention to my surroundings in the past few years. It all makes me think that maybe there is something going on that I should try and figure out. Then again, maybe it’s all a bunch of meaningless BS.

I am a custodian for an elementary school and have been here 9 years. This week I was sweeping and found a dime on the floor, of course, I picked it up. This was Monday, Then Tuesday, Wednesday, Thrusday, Thrusday when I picked it up I thought, what if I find one tomorrow that will be five days in a roll. Well this morning I find the fifth one sweeping the floor. Is this a coincidence or more? My mother passed away last year and I wonder if she is connected to this. Instead of pennies from Heaven, which I wouldn’t pick up, Im getting dimes from Heaven. Has anyone else that this experience?

I have two great ones.
1. A few years ago while waiting in a doctors office I read an article about a man named Hale who’s claim to fame was the fact that he was the oldest man alive (114) well I thought that was pretty amazing so on returning home later that afternoon I went on the internet to check out more about him. What I found out was that he had died that day… his death occured at the same time I was reading the article.

2.

My grandparents, Synthia May and Stephen Micheal Crowe both had the initials S.M.C. Thier children, Mark Anthony Crowe, Michelle Ann Crowe and Micheal Ashley Crowe all had the initials M.A.S. Between the 3 siblings, there were six children. S.andra, M.itchell, C.hloe, M.aria, A.lexis, and S.arah….in that order from oldest to youngest.

Firstly, yesterday I happened upon this site and was just reading through and getting kinda freaked out at all the strange coincidences, as they have always interested me. Then, out of nowhere, my boss asked me when I turn 21. I replied May 6th.. and she laughed and said, “No, really..when?” I repeated, May 6th, as that truly is my birthdate, and it turns out it’s hers, too! It wouldn’t freak me out normally, but after reading all the coincidences, I thought it was kinda cool.

My other coincidence happened after finshing a meal at the Chinese Buffet with my boyfriend Pat. We got our fortune cookies and he let me choose first. OF the two cookies, one was kinda dinky and strange looking, so I opted for the normal one. (Though it has nothing to do with the story, I’d like to mention that my fortune said “Ignore previous cookie”, which I feel was kind of a rip off, but anyways…) Pat took the lopsided, unchosen cookie and said to it “Aww, she didn’t wnat you? It’s OK little guy, it’s not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog!” Then he smashed the cookie on the table and took out his fortune… and it said exactly that, “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog”. Neither of us could believe it..

Speaking of fortune cookies.. at the place where I work, we order in Chinese every Tues. I never get any though, because I’m weird about trying new chinese. Well, one day I finally decided to get some because I wasnt going to get the chance to leave the office for lunch. I was really bogged down with work and stressing about the fact that I hadn’t heard anything about a position I had applied for within my organization. I was mostly concerned that I just didn’t have enough experience. After eating my chinese, I opened my fortune cookie and the fortune read “Believe in your abilities, confidence will lead you on” And the first lucky number it listed was 28. This was on the 22nd of March that I read this. So I though I’d save the fortune, as it was pretty comforting and it so happened that on the 28th of that month, I found out I got the job I had put in for…I’m obsessed with fortune cookies now.

About a year ago, I was typing a resume to fax to several law firms seeking secretaries in Polk County, FL and I wasn’t sure whether to include my Dog Grooming jobs on it or not, because there was little relevance to the job I was trying to get, and I didn’t want to look foolish for unesscesarily including it. I just could not decide, so I made two resumes, one with the grooming job included and one without, and saved them to my hard drive. I only faxed the one without to several of the firms with ads in the classifieds and waited. OVer a month went by and I heard nothing from any of the firms. I was going through the classifieds and saw a new listing so I quick printed a copy of the resume and faxed it on in. Only after faxing it, I stopped to read it over again, because I’m anal about mistakes and wanted to check it one more time, even though I’d already sent it in. That’s when I realized it was the copy with the Dog Grooming experience on it. I just shrugged it off, figured it didn’t really matter, they wouldn’t call me anyways. Well, I actually did get called, went in and interrviewed. I ended up getting the job, too. One day my boss was telling me about the other applicants, she said there had been 82 and they narrowed it down to me and one other lady. She said they decided on me because of my DOG GROOMING experience; they figured they’d like to have an animal lover around.

When I lived in Florida, I would babysit for my boss from time to time. One of those times, I brought my boyfriend with me, because he really enjoys kids. We were talking with my boss and her husband before they left and I introduced my boyfriend and they hit it off right away. I grew up right outside of Scranton, PA which is kind of small and not very many people know of it if they’re not from the area, let alone from Florida. Well, we mentioned that that’s where we’re from and my boss’s husband said “That’s funny, the only time I was ever in Penn. was when I went to Scranton for the St. Patrick’s Day parade.” Small world there. But then my boyfriend went on to say, “Well, I’m not from Penn. originally though, I was born in Queens, New York.” Turns out, so was my bosses husband. What a coinky-dink.
