The Strange Coincidences Archive

The reason im looking at this site is because i watched the film ‘magnolia’ the other day, and i thought it would be interesting to find out other coincidences.
This reminded me of a time when i was about 11 years old. My cousins and i were playing Monopoly with 2 dice. On rolling the dice they landed 6–6, then 5–5, then 4–4 and so on. I thought this was strange given the chances.

Met a woman in a chat room on the internet. We have grown very close over the past year and seen a number of conincedences between us that have us scratching our heads:
1. The fact we ended up in the same chat room out of the thousands out there.
2. When we were discussing children’s name she emailed me later and asked what I would name a little girl if I had one. I emailed the name Annabelle back. She said it was strange because her mom’s name is Anna and her mom’s sister is named Belle and she had always wanted a child with the name Annabelle.
3. Our cats are almost mirror images of each other.
4. We have many similar interests an often say the exact same phrase at the exact same time.
5. We live over 1000 miles apart and never met prior to running into each other on the web.

Whilst searching the internet for family tree facts I decided to see if there was any info on an uncle of mine Cornelius Soper, he was killed november 5th 1944, he was in the navy and has a memorial in his name, well I did find a Cornelius Soper with all the other criteria but it was not the same Cornelius. I would of thought Cornelius Soper was an unusual name but to be in the navy and be killed on the same day, difference being my Cornelius was English the other is American.

I was born 1959. My father 1929. I was married 1982. My father 1952. My son was born when I was 27years 9months 14days. I was born when my father was 27years 9months 14days.

My workmate sharon, was talking to me, as we were talking about phone numbers, she said ’‘i just got rid off racheals number’’ someone who was sacked 6 months ago ’‘and then she is in our cantten talking to janine when i came into work’’ then later that day Carl said (hes a chef) ’‘i got a function tonight and chantelle maybe helping’’ she was saxked same time as racheal but in october she moved back to Austrailia but came back again recently and sharon ’’ Weird when i deleted Racheals number i saw chantelles and delted that as well and here they are. weird with Chantelle though coz we thought her to be living in Austrailia.

one night i had a dream that i went on a walk and i saw a little girl sitting on the curb with a red dress, the enxt day i took my dog fer a walk, and i saw that girl weird

A couple of years ago i went on my first holiday abroad to spain.
when i got there i was having a good time on the beach when i thought i had seen a fellow school mate, i looked around a bit and couldnt see him so i thought nothing of it. Then the next day i went to the beach again and much to my suprise i saw my freind and we met up every day after until we left.

I was quite shocked about this as i live in a small town called sutton in england and i went a small town called salou in spain.

Hello there

I get co-incidences with China and Chinese related things.
It would appear that they follow me about and I often find that there is a Chinese people standing in the same area as I am in.

When I was about 8–9 years old, my father went to this fish and chip shop who had Chinese shop-keepers. They seemed to take a liking to my brother and my Dad, no know reason that I can recall as to why this was. He would be found with candy and gifts given to him.

Some 10 years later, I happened to be in the store after I lived in Wales and I came back and out of the thousands of people they saw; they knew who I was still! I had however rarely been in there when I was 8 years old.
At the time, I was working with someone called Paula whom was employed by Lyn. This woman Paula worked very close to me and her son turned out to be friends with the Chinese womans son from the chip-shop.

Another unusual thing that I had also noticed in the chinese take-aways was the fact that they would recall whom I was even after vast expanses of time (longest may be upto 15 years since meeting me).

I have been offers things from these people too, and recieved objects from them.
I have some of them (most of which was not bought of of them), they would be given because people would know them and they would be sent to me.

About 80% of the Chinese resturants and take-aways have given the same response (even when they have never met me), including one in a foriengn country.

Many occasions in which I would have problems, people that had helped had a link with China and if there was stuff happening in relation to China, I would discover people would have bought Chinese take-aways etc.
There have been numerus other miscellanous things in relation to China, including songs in my head, dreams, television programes and so on.

This China related stuff has happened all my life.
I now have a habbit of going to Chinese resturants on my birth-day as a result; because I feel somehow touched by it in moving way that I cannot explain and I could not live without it.

CREED

I am a fireman and also recently a father. you must know this as my coincidence involves both of these factors. when betty was pregnant and very near labour i was working at the station. i had givrn her the number so she or someone could call me if she went into labour. well anyway i was called out to a chip fire only a few minuetes away from the office. we get to the place it was only a small fire and was put out in no time. when the fire was out a strange thing happened. the phone rang. not knowing what to do i picked up the phone. there i stood in a chared and smokey room on the phone to my mother in law who informed me my wife had gone into labour. she had got the number from betty but had dialed incorrectly and in stead of reaching the office she coincidentally called the house whos fire i just put out.

my workmate under alot of stress lately was being calmed down by a friend who said just go near the phone you’ll wanna call the samaritains. i dont know the number she said.

then on the radio behind. it said if you are affected by lonliness call the samaritains on 66??33 just afta he said she didnt know the number
