I read a letter to a newspaper columnist about a man who had to wake up once a night to use the toilet and get a drink in the adjacent restroom. Since his wife was asleep, he did this in the dark so as not to wake her. Over the years, on only ONE occasion did he have to turn on the light. On this one occasion, he picked up the glass he used for his drink and to his horror, found a HUGE spider in the bottom of it! This is remarkable enough, but the truly remarkable thing was that this EXACT same event occurred to me as well! Every detail was the same! I was amazed when I read that letter and I wondered if I had sent it in and forgotten or something, because I couldn’t believe it could happen to another and then I would read about it!

My estranged sister lived in Houston, TX and I lived in Decatur, IL. I hadn’t seen her in 10 years and we hadn’t communicated in that long, either. Near Decatur is a nature preserve that my family would visit maybe once every 2 months to do some hiking. One day we visited there and my wife says, “Isn’t that your sister?” I turned and was amazed to see her there! She had never visited Decatur in her life and was certainly not there to see me!

I find your site interesting. I must say that I don’t believe in coincidences, I believe in Providence, I really do think everything happens for a reason.
I have a few of them to share:
- I used to be volunteer with kids, I spent an afternoon a week with them. I quite like them and had no problem with it, I only considered it an “effort” once. All the kids had left about 15 minutes before and I suddenly felt very tired and thought to myself “does this really make a difference? do they notice this effort?”. At that exact moment the most difficult, problematic one came and said to me “I have been looking for you everywhere, I had the best time today” and pulled my arm so i leaned down and he kissed my cheek :)
- I went to Rome to the encounter with young people with the Pope, the moment we were going to go through the door I had this strong desire to sing the Magnificat. I didn’t want to tell anyone this and I didn’t want to sing it silently in my head, I wanted to sing it aloud! But at that moment it was a private wish and I didn’t want to let anyone be a part of it. I can be silly like that! I said to God “I want to enter singing the Magnificat”. I hadn’t finished the thought when a guy who was part of a group from Bethlehem picked up a flute and started the melody from the song in latin, and the hundreds of young people reunited started singing it… I cried.
I have many more, these kind of things happen to me frequently, I usually don’t tell since I find it somehow intimitate, like an answer to your personal situation on a concrete moment. It makes me feel like I’m constantly listened to :)I think its a wink from God.
Thanks for sharing everyone!

This is the second time that this has happened to me. The first time was August, 2004. I ‘found’ 9 dimes in 2 days. the dimes appeared in front of where I was walking, When I picked something up and a dime fell, a dime on my desk at work. After receiving these 9 dimes, my luck was bad, to say the least. I gave them to my co-worker and she started to have bad luck. we gave them away and everything went back to normal.
On this past Saturday, I ‘found ’ 4 dimes. There were none on Monday or Tuesday. Is there a meaning behind finding dimes?

in 1995 i decided to go to another city by bus as it was cheaper than flying and i got a discount .mind you ive never been to this city before nor had i travelled much by interstate .anyhow my ticket date was incorrectly dated so i was put on another bus and a different company this bus had one seat left for the entire trip being a festival weekend things are busy so i got into my seat and after watching the movie my fellow passenger started talking to me about going to a funeral otherwise he wouldnt have done the trip.he mentioned the suburb and the school he went to was the same as mine we had same teachers some of his freinds i had known also and i had not been in the area for 20years neither had he since he joined the armyso i said goodby and never saw him after that so going back home i caught a train being more comfortable blow me down the passenger across the aisle from me was going to a suburb just near my place she was an elderly lady and she even caught my bus and now and then i see her at the local mall we just smile and say not again…

Some years ago, while at work, I saw an extremely attractive gal for the first time. She was cute, nice smile and I guess I could say I felt something for her right away. However, nothing really happened. I tried talking to her when I ran into her at the bus stop or at work but she was either shy or just didn’t want to be bothered by some guy she didn’t know all that well.
Despite seeing her around at work constantly and trying to make small talk, I finally gave up on anything happening with her. The funny thing was after I “gave up”, I somehow became friends with her. I thought she might be “interested” in me after so many years of waitng for her to possibly come around. Unfortunately (to make a long story short), she wasn’t interested.
In any case, in the early stages after we had fomally gotten to know each other, we both discovered some rather….bizarre facts:
We both were born on the same exact birth month, birth day, and birth year. We were both born at the same hospital. The only difference? i was born about about 1 1/2 hours ahead of her.
So, who knows what this means. This in itself is a interesting story. Hope you enjoyed it.

Opening my post this morning, I received my new four number pin code for a new credit card which I recently applied for and the number is exactly the same as my existing pin code for a completely different debit card!
What are the odds of that???

My story is rather similar to that of KillerGL. I go about my daily life only to uncover coincidence upon coincidence intertwining the fabric of my life. I do perceive myself as observant but still the regularity is unnerving. Trying to remember them is to erode their mystique, so here a couple of my nuggets that I find hard to forget:
When travelling around the world I made a really good friend in my Aunties partner, Dave. I was going through a defining choice in my life and he told me about his past mistakes, a timely intervention with hindsight I may add. When I found somewhere to live in another part of the city (pop. 4,000,000) I went back and had a few beers with Dave. We discovered that I was living in the exact flat where he had grown up, even remembering the tiles on the kitchen floor. I didn’t know where he had lived before that moment. Needless to say we had more than a few beers after that.
While in this foreign city I went to a Rugby game with 80,000 (there or there abouts) people and remarked to my mates that I only knew two other people who would be there. Two minutes later though I was introducing the lot of them.
Then recently I was talking to my girlfriend about some old friend’s mum who had a certain dislike for me. The next day we met my girlfriends mum and she told me about how she had had a conversation with the certain lady and that she sent her best regards with no prompting from myself. Ok there was a big chance of this happening but the locality of the events was just hilarious for both me and my girlfriend.
