The brand new pastor and his wife, newly assigned to their first ministry, to reopen a church in suburban Brooklyn, arrived in early
October excited about their opportunities. When they saw their church,
it was very run down and needed much work. They set a goal to have
everything done in time to have their first service on Christmas Eve.
They worked hard, repairing pews, plastering walls, painting, etc. and
on Dec 18 were ahead of schedule and just about finished.

On Dec 19 a terrible tempest – a driving rainstorm – hit the area and
lasted for two days. On the 21st, the pastor went over to the church.
His heart sank when he saw that the roof had leaked, causing a large
area of plaster about 20 feet by 8 feet to fall off the front wall of
the sanctuary just behind the pulpit, beginning about head high. The
pastor cleaned up the mess on the floor, and not knowing what else to do
but postpone the Christmas Eve service, headed home. On the way he
noticed that a local business was having a flea market type sale for
charity so he stopped in. One of the items was a beautiful, handmade,
ivory colored, crocheted tablecloth with exquisite work, fine colors and
a Cross embroidered right in the center. It was just the right size to
cover up the hole in the front wall. He bought it and headed back to the
church.

By this time it had started to snow. An older woman running from the
opposite direction was trying to catch the bus. She missed it. The
pastor invited her to wait in the warm church for the next bus 45
minutes later. She sat in a pew and paid no attention to the pastor
while he got a ladder, hangers, etc., to put up the tablecloth as a wall
tapestry. The pastor could hardly believe how beautiful it looked and it
covered up the entire problem area. Then he noticed the woman walking
down the center aisle. Her face was like a sheet.

“Pastor,” she asked, “where did you get that tablecloth?”

The pastor explained. The woman asked him to check the lower right
corner to see if the initials, EBG were crocheted into it there. They
were. These were the initials of the woman, and she had made this
tablecloth 35 years before, in Austria. The woman could hardly believe
it as the pastor told how he had just gotten the tablecloth.

The woman explained that before the war she and her husband were
well-to-do people in Austria. When the Nazis came, she was forced to
leave. Her husband was going to follow her the next week. She was
captured, sent to prison and never saw her husband or her home again.
The pastor wanted to give her the tablecloth; but she made the pastor
keep it for the church.

The pastor insisted on driving her home, that was the least he could do.
She lived on the other side of Staten Island and was only in Brooklyn
for the day for a housecleaning job.

What a wonderful service they had on Christmas Eve. The church was
almost full. The music and the spirit were great. At the end of the
service, the pastor and his wife greeted everyone at the door and many
said that they would return. One older man, whom the pastor recognized
from the neighborhood, continued to sit in one of the pews and stare,
and the pastor wondered why he wasn’t leaving.

The man asked him where he got the tablecloth on the front wall because
it was identical to one that his wife had made years ago when they lived
in Austria before the war and how could there be two tablecloths so much
alike?

He told the pastor how the Nazis came, how he forced his wife to flee
for her safety, and he was supposed to follow her, but he was arrested
and put in a prison. He never saw his wife or his home again all the 35
years in between.

The pastor asked him if he would allow him to take him for a little
ride. They drove to Staten Island and to the same house where the pastor
had taken the woman three days earlier. He helped the man climb the
three flights of stairs to the woman’s apartment, knocked on the door
and he saw the greatest Christmas reunion he could ever imagine.

Sitting out in the field. Bryce, Scott, and I chilling in my truck. What time is it we are all wondering. I press the button on my deck. 911 we all fall back in the chair with a whoa (we all actually said it). Earlier on in the day me and Bryce were talking about mom and dad not calling for a few days and they usually call every day (they were away for a week), we were talking about how they might have been in a car crash. Freaked out by the time we head back to town. At 919 we see an ambulance fly by, lights and siren blaring (telus time would make this 911 now). The time on my deck is “my” time, 8 min. fast ( due to where i work being 8 min. fast) . We get home and check the phone. 3 unknown name unknown number phone calls at 903, exactly 8 min. behind when we seen 911. At the exact time i pressed that button an ambulance was dispatched and there was 3 phone calls to our house. One for every family member still alive! I now dont live at my house s o if my parents were to die there would be 3 calls. One to my house, one to my sisters house and one to my parents house (where my brother still lives).

I am 25 years old and throughout my life I have experienced many spiritual coincidences.
Over the past year these ‘coincidences’ have been very common place. One such example relates to a period I went through of thinking about someone or something, and then finding my attention immediately drawn to a relevant object or occurance. For example, I was walking to work one day, thinking about a woman I was very much in love with, when I felt an urge to look up. As I did a car went past with the girls name on the number plate; ‘SARA’..! On anothor occassion I was thinking about a passage I had just read in the Bible about Jesus sending evil spirits into a herd of pigs, which consequently drowned themselves. Again, I felt an urge to look up. At that second a BMW pulled out from a side road with the no. plate ‘PI99Y’..!

Before I write this next example I would just like to mention that in anticipation I have a tingling sensation running over my cheeks and feel like crying. Not tears of sadness, more tears of longingness, I guess.

On 16th March 2003 I was at Winchester station waiting for a train to to Southampton. I went for a walk to ‘listen’ for an inner voice. As I walked through a deserted car park I thought about God, as I did a light flickered off as I walked past. I then felt a tingling effect over my face. I said in my head that I loved God very much. As I strolled back to the station, I looked to the light to see if it would give me another sign. It then promptly flickered back on just as I ventured past…

There are many more coincidences I can speak of, as I have taken to the habit of writing them down. Mostly I see certain sequences of numbers, such as 33, 333, 77, 66, 888 on a daily basis. This could be because I am ‘looking’ for them, which I am. However, I notice them most often when in deep thought and feel them to be of some significance.

If anyone has any thoughts relating to this, I would be most grateful to have some feedback, as I am yet to find any answers or common ground.

I have finally gotten into a healthy and happy relationship after my divorce five years ago. The man I am with now was also divorced around the same time. We met each other three years ago. A couple of months ago I came across my wedding invitation from my previous marriage and was reminded of the wedding date. Out of curiousity I asked my partner what day he got married. After thumbing through his files he found the date. I knew we had gotten married the same month, but I wasn’t sure of what year or day. Surprisingly enough to find out, he was married on the exact day (July 19, 1997) just as I was. The same month, day, and year. I asked him what time and he said 4:00…I was married at 4:00 TOO! Then again, I was in Colorado and he was in California…there is a time difference. Well, at the moment, we are both a bit weary about any future marriage for ourselves. We just like to think that we did get married just to the wrong people.
P.S. I didn’t realize this at the time, but it was July 19th the day we discovered this unusual coincidence…wooooo…woooo…

When I had a rare disease called the Kowasaki disease, (I beleive Tom Selleck’s son had it as well), in my 4th grade years, I was admitted in the Yale Hospital. One of the doctors noticed my name and told me the strangest thing I have ever heard. He pointed out that There was another Tom Lavery in that same hospital 2 rooms down from me with the same disease that I had! So I talked to the other Tom a little bit(with the permission of the doctor, of course) and while he took a nap I was looking through his nightstand next to him with some papers on it about his information. I find that his birthday is the same exact birthday as mine! March 30! His was just 10 years apart from mine.

I recently took a trip to see my mother and met up with an old friend. His parents were out of town, and he asked me if I wanted to hang out that night. I told him sure. We hung out for a while at another friends’ house, and he told me his stomach was hurting, and could we go back to his house real quick to grab some medicine. So we got in MY car and drove the few blocks. When we got there, he found he was out of medicine. We went back out to the car, and it wouldn’t start, so decided to go back inside for a while to see if his stomachache would pass. He was laying down in his room and I was in the living room thinking about what kind of person he was, and thinking of some solutions to some problems he was having. Then, I don’t know why, but I started to see a very bright light in my head, so without really thinking, I “sent” it to him. A minute or two later, we met each other in the hallway, both going to see each other, and he told me that he wa s laying down thinking about some things that were bothering him, and figured out what to do. He then said that he looked at his hands, and they were “kinda Glowing”. And immediately after, felt just fine. The next morning my car worked. I freaked the heck out man.

I took a recent trip to see my mother, who lives a few hours away, and met up with a friend that lives not too far from her house. anyways, I decided to stay over at his house that night. We were sitting in his living room, and he was talking about some problems he was having. After a few hours, he started complaining that his stomach hurt. An hour or two after that we put in a movie, watched it, and he still said his stomach hurt, and he was gonna go to bed. I stayed in the living room, thinking about what kind of person he was in general, and what I thought he should do about his problems.(I never told him what my solutions were, he never asked, and I don’t know what he did) Carrying on, I then started wondering if his problems were the reason for his stomach ache. Not too weird yet. But then, I saw an extremely bright, white light in my head, so without really thinking, I “sent” it to him. Cant really explain that, but a minute or two afterward s, we met each other in the hall, both going to see each other. He told me that he couldn’t sleep because of these problems he was having, so was meditating or something, and saw me IN HIS HEAD!! I thought that was weird, but then he said I was trying to tell him something but he couldn’t make it out, and directly after, had an excellent solution to his problem, so tried to get some sleep, but his stomach still hurt. He said he opened his eyes and looked at his hands and they were “kinda Glowing” Then felt completely fine. I freaked out man. I should ask him about what he did about his problems.
